2024 Panini Prizm Baseball marks another diamond installment for the colorful chromium brand. As has been the case with all of Panini’s baseball products over the past couple of years, the checklist is predominantly a mix of prospects and retired stars from the past.
The make-up might still seem different but the overall focus of the cards’ construction remains the same, with rainbows of all sorts being the primary chase. To that end, 12-pack hobby boxes have 22 Prizms parallels. Collectors can also expect three autographs and an average of an additional insert per pack.
2024 Panini Prizm Baseball Checklist Overview
The base set has 300 cards. Legends like Willie Mays run alongside lauded prospects like Dylan Crews. A few active players might slip in but with Fanatics now holding exclusives with both MLB and the MLBPA, veteran stars are simply not happening en masse.
As with everything Prizm, there’s no shortage of parallels. Green Scope, Orange Wave and Superfractor-esque Gold Vinyl are just a few of the colors of the wide reaching rainbow.
Autograph themes go to both reaches of the checklist. Cooperstown inductees are the focus of Hall Heroes Autographs while up-and-comers take the spotlight in Prospect Signatures.
Legendary Dual Autographs pair up ink from two greats.
Throwback Signatures go to the past but from a hobby perspective. These use designs from the brand’s early days.
Headlining the other inserts is Color Blast. As always, these are extremely scarce.
Other insert themes include Hype, Prizmatic and Top Tier.
